AHPRA Registered Nurse


  • Wallace Street Recruitment are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the role of Care Manager (Facility Manager) for a 32 bed Aged Care Facility located in a beautiful regional area in Northern New South Wales, Australia
  • This lovely 32 bed facility comprises of:
    • The Hostel which comprises of 20 rooms with ensuites
    • The Dementia Specific Care Unit which comprises of 12 beds
  • Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the role as the Care Manager is to effectively lead and efficiently manage the staff at the facility – this includes the Team Leader, Registered Nurses, Personal Care Attendants, Kitchen, Cleaning, Maintenance and Administration staff
  • As the Care Manager, the key areas of responsibility are to ensure that the team delivers a high standard of safe and effective care to residents that meets their individual needs and preferences and optimises their health and wellbeing, along with, staff supervision and administration in line with the organisations key objectives
  • You will have an understanding of the responsibilities under the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019, including residents’ rights and accreditation requirements, and deliver care services accordingly to ensure accreditation at all times
  • You will possess an understanding of ACFI requirements, to ensure clinical documentation supports the ACFI funding is completed to meet ACFI targets
  • You will have an understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and also sound financial management skills
 

Essential Criteria:

  • AHPRA Nurses’ Registration – unrestricted
  • Clinical knowledge especially within the Aged Care sector
  • Sound knowledge of ACFI, the Aged Care Act, Care Planning, Aged Cares Standards, contemporary WHS, financial management and auditing
  • Experienced in management and leadership within the aged care setting
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Vaccinations, as per the Public Health order
  • Criminal History Record Check
  • Australian Work Rights – note Employer Nominated Sponsorship will be considered for a suitable candidate
