Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) - Rehabilitation
Are you an experienced Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) looking for career progression and/or a sea change away from the busy metropolitan area?
- Wallace Street Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly skilled Rehabilitation RN, who is organised and passionate about patient care for a hospital that is located in a beautiful area of regional NSW, near the beach
- Permanent fulltime CNS role reporting to the Rehabilitation NUM and the Director of Clinical Services
- Work with a dynamic executive team, focused on high standards of healthcare delivery and continually striving to improve performance
- This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed team in an acute surgical/medical/rehabilitation facility
Essential Criteria:
- Current AHPRA Division 1 Registered Nurse
- More than 3-5 years of experience in a diversity of areas, with a minimum of 2 years' experience working within a rehabilitation multi-disciplinary team
- Relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards or willing to undertake additional training
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Demonstrated excellence in collaborative written and verbal communication
- Sound understanding of clinical governance as relevant to clinical and hospital management
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives, clinical policies and accreditation programs
- Computer literacy in relevant hospital programs
- Demonstrated skills with Work Health and Safety to ensure safety of themselves and others in the workplace
- Sound knowledge of risk management systems, including reporting, documentation of any unsafe conditions, dangerous occurrences, injuries, incidents and other risk situations
- Current Working With Children Check
- National Police Check Certificate
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
- Previous experience and/or qualifications in staff education
- Previous experience in relieving the Nursing Unit Manager or After-Hours Manager roles
- Familiarity with Health Fund, Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Work Cover and third-party requirements
