Regional Operating Theatre Manager - NUM 3
Are you an experienced Operating Theatre senior Registered Nurse (RN) looking for career progression and/or a sea change?

  • Wallace Street Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly skilled Operating Theatre RN for this newly created role, located in a beautiful area of regional NSW, near the beach
  • Working across two modern regional hospitals with 5 operating theatres in total, including CSSD and day surgery units, you will report directly to the Regional CEO on strategic and business development matters and the Directors of Clinical Services for day to day operational matters
  • If you are organised and passionate about operating theatres, teamwork and patient care, this new role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a dynamic executive team across both hospitals, focused on high standards of healthcare delivery and continually striving to improve performance
  • The successful candidate will be involved with Strategic Planning with the Regional Executive Committee and the CEO
  • This is an excellent opportunity to join committed teams across these two hospitals that cater to surgical, medical and rehabilitation needs across the region

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA Division 1 Registration
  • 5 years of post-graduate experience and qualifications and/or extensive perioperative experience
  • Demonstrated leadership accountability
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including computer skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Health management qualification and/or experience in a nursing management role
  • Financial and business management experience
  • Perioperative qualifications

  • Strong organisational skills with initiative, problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic motivated leadership and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment of patients' needs, with planning and management of resources to meet those needs
  • Patient focused approach to service provision
  • Enjoys autonomy, self-direction and accountability for personal practice
  • Enjoys innovative nursing practice and manages this to achieve best outcomes
  • Understanding of rostering and applicable HR legislation relating to nursing
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team approach
