Job Description
Are you a Speech Pathologist /Therapist looking for career progression and/or a sea change away from the busy metropolitan area?
- Wallace Street Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Speech Pathologist to join a well-established, multidisciplinary Allied Health Team, for a hospital group that is located in a beautiful area of regional NSW, near the beach
- A permanent fulltime or part-time position is available to provide a high standard of Speech Pathology assessment and the facilitation of treatment services to Rehabilitation, Medical and Surgical patients
- This is an excellent opportunity to expand your experience in the hospital sector and also, in the community.
Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience:
- A degree in Speech Pathology
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- A sound understanding of contemporary Speech Pathology assessment and treatment practices for clients with swallowing and/or communication difficulties
- Experience in the provision of adult Speech Pathology services in a multi-disciplinary team setting
- Competent in conducting modified barium swallow studies
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge and application of customer service principles, evidence based practice and continuous quality improvement principles and methodology
- Knowledge of WHS (including Infection Control) and Risk Management principles and practices
- Demonstrated basic computer literacy skills with an understanding of information management and technology application relevant to the industry
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and written presentation skills
- Public and Private hospital industry experience
